About Us

Australian Wildlife Encounters (AWE) aims to educate people to live and work around our native fauna through tourism, education, and photography.  We run fully customisable wildlife adventure tours and provide hands-on training courses specialising in safe human-wildlife interaction for both individuals and companies. We also offer Public Safety Demonstrations for Queensland communities.

Australian Wildlife Encounter’s expert team have been working with wildlife for over 13 years. We combine passion with expert knowledge to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information and walk away with a whole new appreciation of Australia’s unique wildlife.

Whether you’re a nature lover, a wildlife photographer, a birder, a herper, a mammal watcher or a filmmaker - we are the team for you!

We completed the venomous snake handling course and it was excellent and very informative. These guys taught us a lot and it was just incredible being shown some good techniques and methods to handle snakes safely and with respect.

Venomous Snake Handling Course - 10/10 best money I have spent on myself in a long time. The two instructors (Lockie and Max) were so accommodating, knowledgeable and professional.
